Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce Emphasizes Importance of Partnerships and Investment at Buildex 2026 Opening
DAMASCUS – On the sidelines of the opening of the new edition of the International Construction Exhibition, "Buildex 2026", the President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Alaa Al-Ali, visited the pavilions of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce and the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce during an official tour of the participating pavilions. The Federation's delegation included the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Consultant Dr. Anas Al-Bou, and the Director General of the Federation, Amer Al-Homsi.The delegation was received by the Vice Presidents of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce, Ghassan Sukkar and Dr. Layla Al-Samman, alongside the Head of the Businesswomen Committee, Nadine Shawy, and several board members, who highlighted the chamber's role in supporting specialized economic events.Al-Ali praised the importance of the exhibition as a platform bringing together nearly 710 local and international companies displaying over 1,400 brands from 51 countries. He emphasized that this wide participation reflects growing confidence in investment opportunities within the Syrian market and underscores the sector's vital role in the economic recovery and reconstruction phase.
