The Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce announced the formation of the "Industry Development Committee," chaired by Mr. Mohamed Said Sheikh Al-Kar. This initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to support the economic sector and modernize the national industrial infrastructure.
The committee has defined seven core strategic mandates for its operations in the upcoming phase:

Formulating a National Strategy: Identifying priority industrial sectors and setting clear goals for growth, export, and employment.

Modernizing Legislations and Regulations: Simplifying licensing and investment procedures, and removing administrative obstacles facing industrialists.

Technological Development and Digital Transformation: Upgrading automation and productivity levels within Syrian industrial facilities.

Enhancing National Product Quality: Applying standard specifications and international benchmarks to boost competitiveness in global markets.

Supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs): Providing accessible, facilitated loans, training programs, and easing market access.
