Dr. Mazen Deirwan, Chairman of the Syrian Federation of Chambers of Industry, participated in the Food Health and Safety Conference held under the slogan: "From Problem to Solution.. Towards Safe Food Everywhere." The event was organized by the Health, Safety, and Environment Association in cooperation with EMBS Management Engineering and Quality Company, under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, with the participation of several public, private, and academic entities.The conference aims to bring together national, academic, and private sector expertise to discuss the latest practices and challenges in the field of food safety. It also reviews scientific solutions that contribute to developing the quality of food products, enhancing food security, and raising the competitiveness of the Syrian food industry.Additionally, the Federation Chairman participated in a panel discussion titled "Food Safety from an Integrated Perspective: Legislation, One Health, Child Protection, and Islamic Values."In an official statement, Dr. Mazen Deirwan emphasized the importance of the conference in linking research with production for both locally produced and imported raw materials. This comes in light of expectations that agro-industrial production will expand by about tenfold over the next few years.The conference concluded by stressing the importance of continued cooperation among various national entities to develop an integrated food safety system, promote the implementation of quality and governance systems, support food security, and boost the competitiveness of Syrian products in both local and international markets
