Dr. Anas Al-Bou, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee and Board Member of the Federation, received Counsellor Fouad Dabbour, Commissioner of the Syrian Arab Republic to the International Court of Arbitration in Sweden. The meeting was attended by Legal Counsellor Ahmed Arafa, Mr. Faisal Yassin, Vice President of the Justice Center for International Conciliation and Arbitration in Damascus, and Eng. Mohamed Hussein Al-Siyoufi, Board Member of the Center.The meeting addressed the importance of spreading the culture of commercial arbitration as one of the most vital modern methods for settling commercial disputes. They highlighted its role in boosting confidence in the investment environment, providing effective and rapid mechanisms to protect rights, and supporting the stability of commercial transactions in line with international best practices and standards.Furthermore, both sides discussed horizons for joint cooperation and coordination between the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and the International Court of Arbitration. This particularly includes the fields of raising legal awareness, organizing specialized programs and events, and exchanging expertise to support the Syrian business community and enhance its readiness to keep pace with regional and international economic and commercial developments
