Dr. Issam Soufi and Mr. Ahmed Keikhia, board members of the Lattakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participated in the opening of the "Handmade Carpets and Heritage Crafts" exhibition. The event was organized by the "Ayadina" Association at the National Museum of Lattakia, under the auspices of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and with the support of the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund, as part of the "Women and Peace" project.The exhibition is held under the theme "Threads of Heritage… Weaves of Peace." It features a collection of handmade carpet models and traditional heritage crafts that embody the authenticity of Syrian cultural heritage, highlighting the role of women in preserving traditional crafts and passing them down to future generations.The Lattakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry underscores the importance of supporting handicrafts and heritage industries due to their cultural and economic value.
