The headquarters of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce hosted extensive talks to discuss ways to strengthen economic cooperation, develop trade relations between Syria and Austria, revitalize economic activity, and improve the investment climate, particularly in the health and energy sectors.The meeting brought together the President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Ala'a Al-Ali, the Special Envoy of Austria to the Middle East, Ambassador Arad Benkö, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Austrian Embassy in Damascus, Christoph Weidinger, and the Economic Counselor at the Embassy, Mr. Herwig Neuper.Also participating in the discussions were the President of the Arab side at the Austro-Arab Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Louay Kuzbari, the Secretary-General of the Chamber, Mr. Mouddar Khouja, alongside the Vice President of the Federation, Mohammad Saeed Sheikh Al-Kar, and Board Members Mr. Nashat Al-Rifai and Dr. Anas Al-Bo.In addition to discussing mechanisms to facilitate the entry of Syrian traders into European markets, the talks reviewed steps to restructure the Federation and local chambers of commerce to boost efficiency.
