The Executive Bureau of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce held its first meeting, chaired by the Federation's President, Mr. Alaa Al-Ali. The meeting was attended by Vice Presidents Eng. Issam Al-Gharyouti and Mr. Mohammad Said Sheikh Al-Kar, alongside bureau members. During the session, the bureau reviewed the workflow of the past phase and the milestones achieved, notably the activation of specialized committees. These committees have become a genuine catalyst for revitalizing commercial trade and addressing the difficulties facing the commercial sector.The discussions covered completing the formation of the Syrian Council for Youth and Young Entrepreneurs, alongside the Businesswomen Council. This step reflects the Federation’s firm conviction that young talents and female competencies represent an indispensable asset in the economic development process.Furthermore, the bureau members emphasized the necessity of streamlining administrative procedures within the chambers of commerce regarding registration and membership renewal. They also debated regulatory amendments designed to establish more accurate and fair criteria for classifying traders, in addition to reviewing the minimum and maximum fees levied by the chambers of commerce on their members.The meeting concluded by reaffirming that integration between the public and private sectors remains an indispensable pillar for building a competitive and attractive investment environment, which opens wider horizons for business leaders and investors
